Job description:

We are currently seeking a solution oriented Project Quality Manager Specialist. Responsible for developing and implementing standardization of manufacturing quality enablers. Candidate should be creative problem solver, proactive in the identification and resolution vehicle quality. The Engineer will have experience in managing multi-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • The Engineer's responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem-solving tools (Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments, etc.) recommending and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions.

  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators, manage engineering changes working with a multi-functional team to ensure timely execution.

  • Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation and will be the point of contact for engineering quality and all product-related incidents.

  • Ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics, provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities.

  • Consistent record of developing and execution of standardization and experience with having multi-functional responsibilities in a lean organization.

  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage numerous projects in a technical and business environment.

  • Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership.

  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally should be able to influence without direct authority.

  • Must show commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer, represent the Voice of the Customer to the platform teams and contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles.

  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements and exhibit an interest to do things innovatively and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials from an ABET accredited university

  • Training or experience on structured problem solving methodologies such as 8D or Shainin Red-X

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people

  • Proficient to collect and synthesize data into relevant information and communicate clearly.

  • Self-directed, team oriented with demonstrated planning & problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with working knowledge of computer systems and software esp. Microsoft Excel
