At Capgemini Engineering, we are seeking an EM Test Engineer to join our team, where diversity and inclusion are at the core of our work culture. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities and qualifications.
Summary:
The EM Test Engineer is responsible for coordinating vehicle testing, analysis and reporting of vehicle data, driven benchmarking reporting, electrical demand energy (EDE). Preparing vehicles for testing, including vehicle updates, instrumentation and submitting test requests for EPA and environmental test cells.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain readiness of test vehicles (hardware updates, calibration updates).
Instrument vehicles for data collection during testing.
Validate instrumentation functionality prior to test execution.
Create work orders for mechanical/electrical updates in appropriate garage areas.
Submit test requests for fuel economy and environmental testing.
Coordinate with scheduling and dynamometer teams to complete tests.
Perform initial data validation on test data.
Deliver test data to analysis engineer.
Work within a small team of Test Engineers to achieve program objectives.
Coordinate with customers to acquire data to support vehicle programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience from an ABET accredited program.
2 years of relevant automotive product development experience.
Solid understanding of data collection tools including: ETAS(INCA), ValueCAN, PicoScope.
Knowledge of the overall program development life cycle.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc).
Experience analyzing data and formulating important conclusions and recommendations from large data sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on automotive experience.
Experience with automotive driven benchmarking or Energy Management.
Knowledge of Vehicle Demand Energy analysis or fuel economy testing.
