Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Network Engineer 2 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system; maintain an understanding of client service requirements and provide 24x7 network operations' fault management support for PBX, data, or VoIP application networks; track/control the service request lifecycle; perform in-depth troubleshooting/analysis/isolation/resolution of escalated voice or data network events/client issues; recognize differing levels of coverage and adjust customer care level accordingly to ensure most efficient resolution of all queries/concerns; complete Move/Add/Change (MAC) requests, including voicemail password resets and on-boarding/off-boarding processes within SLA timeframes; resolve incidents related to network/perform change; use VOIP procedures to support distributed Cisco Unified Call Manger (CUCM), Unified Contact Centre Express (UCCX), Internet protocol contact centre (IPCC), Unified Messaging (UM), Cisco Emergency Responder (E911), Operations and Tier 1-3 support for switching, routing, VPN technologies and authentication servers; and carry out action plans for on-site clientele hardware replacements.
This position requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 2 years of experience in the job offered, as Network Engineer, Network Infrastructure Consultant, Computer Network Architects, or related IT position. The applicant must also have: any period of experience using VOIP procedures to support distributed CUCM, UCCX, IPCC, UM, E911, Operations and Tier 1-3 support for switching, routing, VPN technologies and authentication servers; any period of experience using network operation technologies, including data and voice; any period of experience using Load Balancer technologies, such as A10, Baracudda, Radware, Netscaler, or F5; any period of experience performing troubleshooting analysis, isolation, and resolution of escalated voice or data network events and client issues; any period of experience tracking and managing the service request lifecycle; and any period of experience upgrading network servers, including Cisco ACS, RSA SecurID and solarwinds.
