What You-ll Do
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the data hub infrastructure using Snowflake and Azure.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
Conduct technical analysis to understand data integration requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Optimize and tune data models, queries, and performance within the Snowflake and Azure environments.
Develop and manage data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the data hub meets business needs.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the data hub.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data integration and performance.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Snowflake, Azure, and data integration technologies to continually improve the data hub architecture.
Minimum education qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
The ideal candidate will have:
Snowflake: Extensive experience with Snowflake, including data warehousing, data modeling, performance tuning, and security features.
Azure: Strong proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.
Technical Analysis: Excellent technical analysis skills to assess data integration requirements and develop effective solutions.
SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
ETL Processes: Experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration and transformation.
Data Modeling: Proficiency in data modeling techniques and best practices.
Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation and data processing tasks.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have Skills:
BI Tools: Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Big Data Technologies: Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance practices and tools.
DevOps: Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
API Integration: Experience with integrating data via RESTful APIs.
Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
