Hadoop Engineer
Job Title : Hadoop Engineer
Job Location : North Carolina
Responsibility
Design architect and deploy Cloudera-based Hadoop clusters to meet business requirements and performance objectives
Collaborate with partners to understand data processing and analytics needs and translate them into scalable cluster designs
Provision configure and optimize cluster hardware software and networking components for efficient performance and resource utilization
Implement standard methodologies for cluster security including authentication authorization encryption and auditing to safeguard data integrity and privacy
Deploy and configure Cloudera Manager for centralized cluster management monitoring and administration Install and configure CDH Cloudera
Distribution of Hadoop and associated ecosystem components such as HDFS YARN MapReduce Hive HBase Impala and Spark
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for cluster provisioning configuration and management to streamline operations and improve efficiency
Set up tools to Monitor cluster health performance and capacity
Provide technical mentorship and support to other team members and stakeholders on Cloudera cluster deployment and management standard processes
Specific skills required
Experience with Big Data Hadoop CDP Cloudera Private Cloud
Experience Hadoop Cluster Installation and Administration
Experience working in Linux environments
Knowledge of industry-standard Incident
Experience solving issues related to Hadoop Ecosystem components like Hive Spark HBase Involved in installation and configuration of Kerberos security setup
Should become better at installing and maintaining Python Libraries
Experience with environment and infrastructure integration Capacity management experience Change Management DevOps experience will be a plus Added advantage if has experience in Hortonworks Data Platform MapR
